Valleys and mountaintops

It allows me to accurately

Paint pictures with

The most vivid colors

I can find

Words

This is exactly how

I feel

And with the

Right choices

You'll feel exactly

The same

Poetry presents emotions

That are found in

The little black book

Hidden beneath your mattress

It says what you'd

Want to scream at your enemy

It reveals everything you'd

Want to whisper in

Your lovers ear

Poetry is

The revelation of

Everything you've

Ever wanted to say,

Said, and everything

You've regretted saying.

Poetry is who you are now,

What you were before,

And how you see yourself

In the future.

Poetry allows one person

To stand on the world stage

Naked

And ask others to

Begin to peel away their

Social layers

Until we find what

Makes us

Human.
