The Language of Love

February 8, 2012

The Language of Love

The language of love
Does not speak
Because words are insufficient
Love doesn’t say
A single word
But sits with you in silence

Love cannot write a poem
But holds you when you're down
Love cannot serenade
But kisses you when you frown

Words are just too shallow
Love does not have a language
But its the model of optimism
You see when you can’t manage

Love is agape
Unconditionally deep
Forgives your faults and takes you back
All this
Without a speech

Do you search for love?

You can search the world
Learn every tongue in the land
Stream the seas, fly to the moon
And pay everything you can

But soon you'll see
Love has no words
No language one can call
Love is spoken through our bodies
In silence
Love has no words
At all....
