Texting Is Insufficient ***

Texting Is Insufficient

Texting is insufficient
It imprisons my deepest thoughts
No room to explain, we’re speaking in vain
This destinations not what I have sought

You’ll text me, then I’ll text you
Then you’ll respond in the next two hours
This span of time, and spontaneity
Tires my patience and makes me cower

What if you wrote me a letter ‘stead
And kept me updated on your life
There’s so much more room, tell me your doom
Your troubles, burdens and strife

A letter may take more time
It’s not as fast as text
But I’m willing to wait
I won’t question our fate
I’ve always viewed impatience as crime

In a letter I’m able to delve more deep
I can be more personal, more from the heart
So put down your phone, pick up your pen
Now’s the perfect time to start
