Work off our long dinner

As the sun becomes dimmer…
I can buy you tender roses
I can bring a fancy car
Place a necklace ‘round your neck
Make sure to drive us very far
But I don’t need to do all that
I don’t really mind the company
Go to a nearby café, see others there
But my focus is on you and me
I won’t have a fancy car
And a necklace I can’t afford
But I’ll appreciate the intrinsic values
I see within your soul
I will strive to make you smile
And ask to kiss your cheeks
Tell you you’re gorgeous
And promise to think of you all week
I will send you a passionate card
