Thankful
Though the day may be freezing
Raining or just too hot
Thankful will I be
As I think of what I've got
A beating heart and working lungs
I am well in health
To the severely ill or dying
This means more than wealth
No, I am not fancy
Casual foods fill my appetite
But billions around the world can't say
They've had a single bite
I walk into my tiny home
With no heartaches or jealous pain
Around the world, cardboard
Shield many from the pouring rain
So before I complain of work, food
Or lack of rest
I’ll think twice and look around
At how much that I've been blessed
